The Mamie George Community Center, 1111 Collins Rd., Richmond, Texas

Catholic Charities' Mamie George Community Center serves as a hub for Catholic Charities services in Fort Bend County. The center addresses many of the community's needs, with an emphasis on low-income residents and seniors.

The center is made possible through the generous support of the community, volunteers and collaborative partners.

The Center features:

• Trini’s Corner Market – an innovative, self-select food pantry for low-income families.
  

• Patty’s Café – offers healthy meals to low-income seniors and an indoor/outdoor dining for the entire community.
  

• Senior Wellness Center – promotes health and well-being through a fitness area, exercise classes and health checks. Other activities include therapeutic art classes and recreation.
  
  
• Senior Services – promotes independence by providing comprehensive assessments and access to resources.
  
  
• Gracious Gifts – gift shop provides economical, dignified gift-giving opportunities for seniors.
  
  
• Learning Library – with educational and computer classes for seniors.

Volunteer Services
You can help by becoming a volunteer partner and working in the center to assist with the operations of Mamie George Community Center's core programs. We are looking for committed individuals, families, businesses, churches, or social/civic groups who want to make a difference in the lives of the clients we serve. Gracious Gifts
You can help by donating NEW items for sale, such as, greeting cards, jewelry, purses, scarves, socks, slippers, socks, gifts for babies and children (for seniors' grandchildren), nice toiletries, blankets/throws, seasonal items and gift bags. Trini’s Corner Market
You can help by donating canned and dry goods, and toiletries, or coordinating a food or toiletries drive. We distribute all donations to clients, helping them acquire supplemental food to sustain their families.
