About Catholic Charities2girls_in_orange

What We Do

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston provides a comprehensive network of social services aimed at promoting and facilitating self-sufficiency. We offer support and opportunities that empower people and communities to grow and thrive.

The impact we make

At Catholic Charities, our goal is to provide life-changing services that lead to productive, fulfilling and independent lives. Every day our impact is felt when the disadvantaged’s basic needs are met, when a mentor inspires a child to succeed against obstacles and when a community comes together for the common good.

Nationally Recognized Nonprofit

For the twelfth year in a row, we have received Charity Navigator’s highest, four-star rating, placing it in the top 1% of nonprofits nationwide and making it the only charity in Houston to maintain this rating for twelve consecutive years.

Catholic Charities is accredited by the Council on Accreditation, a member agency of the United Way of Greater Houston and a member of Catholic Charities USA, one of the largest private networks of social services providers in the country.
