Details for "Respect in Families for Parents of Children (ages 6 and below)"

Respect is the core of family relationships and harmony. We all want to be respected, and we may 'demand respect' from our children for our authority as parents, but what are we actually teaching our children about respect? Respect can be one of the more confusing aspects of family life. This workshop provides parents of young children important tools for setting reasonable expectations for respect in their family.

Speaker Sister Carmen Sanchez, LCSW

A member of the Religious Congregation of Missionary Catechists of Divine Providence.  She is bilingual and has over 23 years experience providing mental health services for children, youth, couples, and families.  She also has extensive experience working with teens and families using drugs and families and children with at-risk behaviors.  Sister Carmen served as Founder and Executive Director of the Benitia Family Center, Inc, a Neighborhood Counseling Center in San Antonio, TX.
