Considering Foster Care or Adoption?
Open Your Heart and Your Home to a Waiting Child
Catholic Charities receives calls daily from Harris County Children’s Protective Services, which also works with the outlying counties, about children from newborns to age 17 who need a home. Without families to care for them, these children have to stay in shelters until homes are located.
Children and families are our greatest treasures. But many children and parents ask for help each night. Some people long to adopt a child of their own, whether an infant or older child.
Mothers make the hardest but most loving decision of their life. They may seek help as they search for a loving home for their child.
Young pregnant mothers need resources to learn valuable parenting and life skills. When adoption is not an option, children need foster homes. After adoption, there are many issues to handle, such as openness between birth family and adoptive family and grief and loss issue for the birthmother after the placement.
You can make a difference in a child's life!
