Services provided by appointment only include supportive services (case coordination and financial assistance) for families facing eviction or termination of utility services; one-time financial assistance with rent and/or utilities; monthly assistance with food and household needs through pantry services; information and referral; as well as a professional development site for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

Individuals or families residing in Galveston County who are experiencing financial hardship.

Volunteer Opportunities (Special Projects)

Volunteers are needed to support client services through telephone intake, client interviews, pantry workers, and clerical/office support.  Additional opportunities arise through special projects such as school supply drives, food drives and building services needs (i.e., small repair jobs, painting)

History of Program/How Long In Existence

Developed in 1982 to meet the needs of transient individuals and families in Galveston County.  Now serves all persons in need in Galveston County.  Merged with and became a program of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in 1996.
