The rains that have drenched the Houston metro area in the last day have proven damaging and deadly, and our hearts and prayers go out to all those who have been affected. The city's Office of Emergency Management is encouraging residents to report damages and debris in these ways: 311 by mobile app (http://m.houston311.org/ ), phone (713.837.0311), or web (http://hfdapp.houstontx.gov/311/index.php). 

Food donations can be dropped off at our Lewis and Joan Lowenstein Pan de Vida Food Pantry at 326 South Jensen Dr., or at our Mamie George Community Center located at 1111 Collins Road, Richmond, TX. For other donations, please call Society of St. Vincent de Paul at 713.862.2605 or you can take items to two of their locations: 6654 Gulf Fwy, Houston, TX 77087 or 5236 Cedar Street, Bellaire, TX 77401.
