At Catholic Charities, we value our volunteers and their impact on every program. We could not serve the community of Galveston-Houston in the same capacity without volunteers. We welcome people of all faiths and will work with you to find an opportunity that matches your skills and interests. Please follow the steps below to apply to volunteer.
Step 1 - Submit A Volunteer Application
Step 2 - Provide Three References
All applicants must provide references. Please direct references to the online form. Please note that the background check process will not begin until all three references have been received. (In lieu of references college and high school interns must submit course syllabus from the University.)
Step 3 - Attend VIRTUS Training (if applicable)
Individuals volunteering with children must attend VIRTUS training. Please visit the VIRTUS website for Upcoming schedules.
Step 4 - Volunteer Orientation/Interview
Upon completion of background and reference check, we will be in will contact you for an appointment to review and sign the volunteer agreement and meet with staff for placement. Appointments are scheduled twice a month the 1st Wednesday from 11-1p.m. and 3rd Wednesday from 6-7 p.m.
