Catholic Charities constantly evolves to meet the needs of the community, and so do the jobs of our volunteers (Partners). You can become a Partner for Hope and help us provide services to those in need regardless of race, religion or socioeconomic status.
We will work with you to find a position that matches your skills and interests. Please follow the steps below to become a Partner for Hope.
To learn more about current needs, see our "Types of Volunteers" page.
1: Submit your volunteer application.
Complete the Houston application if you wish to volunteer in the downtown area including the main office, Moran Center and/or Guadalupe Center.
2: Interview.
Once we review your application, references and complete your background check, we will notify you of your status. Please allow at least 48 hours for Volunteer Services to contact you to schedule your interview.
**Interns need to bring their class syllabus or a letter from their professor.
3: Attend VIRTUS training.
All volunteers must attend VIRTUS training within 30 days of their initial volunteer date. The training is offered at the downtown office once a month and also offered at Mamie George Community Center once a month. For other dates and times, please visit the VIRTUS Website to attend a training at a parish near you.
4: Become a Partner for Hope.
As soon as the steps have been completed, you can start working with one of our many programs to help create hope for others!
